For us (a father, mother, and daughter),. Athuruga is a 5-star island, an island where you can regenerate body and mind. To summarize, Athuruga is:
clean
excellent staff
only peace and tranquility
the sea is beautiful
plenty of fish of every species and color
the food is excellent
after several years, a wonderful group has formed
The only two observations (these are observations, not complaints) are:
1 - Wi-Fi in the room should always be available; for those with work needs, it's essential to maintain work connections
2 - on the beach in front of the water sports center, there should be more umbrellas and sun loungers (last year there were 5 umbrellas, this year only 2). For us, who do 5/6 snorkeling trips a day, starting from BB 15 & 16 to reach the exit channel (back and forth) is decidedly inconvenient. Having a place to rest (with shade) nearby would be definitely helpful.
